Culture night: beading seasonal keepsakes

It’s Native American Heritage Month relatives!

And also, the start of the holiday season for many.

With that in mind, there’s always an opportunity to ensure culture stays at the forefront of our celebrations and festivities!

This month you’ll have the opportunity to receive guidance from Puyallup Tribal Member, Benita Ochoa, who will lead participants in beading seasonal keepsakes.

---

Every November (and really, each and every day), we honor and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Native peoples and recognize the strength and resilience of our communities while honoring the generations who came before us and the teachings, languages, traditions, and relationships they carried forward.

*We invite you to celebrate Native identity and culture by wearing something that represents Native pride, culture, or connection. Whether it’s your regalia, beadwork, a ribbon skirt or shirt, or simply something meaningful to you, we encourage everyone to wear it with pride and intention.

November is also an opportunity for allies to learn, listen, support Native communities, and uplift Indigenous voices. Native culture is living, resilient, and thriving.

Happy Native American Heritage Month!
