On Monday, August 31st, we'll be gathering at Wright Park for our Summer Health Sovereignty Celebration, bringing light to International Overdose Awareness Day.
We are reclaiming the space to share in our experiences, exchange resources, lean into community, heal and honor relatives we have lost.
We'll be joined by community partners; Rose Island Farm, Wild Grief, Tacoma Needle Exchange, Tacoma Pro Bono, Cowlitz Indian Tribe's MAT Mobile Clinic Team and more.
Attendees will also be able to learn more about Tahoma Indian Center programs, grab free resources and swag, register to vote and engage in even more activities!
Native Soul Cuisine will be onsite, providing a delicious and nutritious meal for all who attend.
We can't wait to see you!
Date: Monday, August 31st
Time: 11am-2pm
Location: Wright Park, 501 S. I Street, Tacoma, WA 98405
We hold out hands up to Tacoma Creates for helping to fund this healing event.
