We are excited to continue our partnership with The Grand Cinema on Sovereign Cinema—a film series centering Indigenous stories of reclamation, resistance, and resilience. Next up, FRYBREAD FACE AND ME!
Two adolescent Navajo cousins from different worlds bond during a summer herding sheep on their grandmother's ranch in Arizona while learning more about their family's past and themselves.
An eccentric and charming film for teens and adults alike, Frybread Face and Me screens on April 11th at 7pm. Join us in the Lounge after the screening for a post-film gathering to include complementary frybread, traditional medicinal tea from Rose Island Farm and community resource sharing.
The Tahoma Indian Center has a limited number of complimentary tickets available for community members for the screening. Please email admin@tahomaindiancenter.org if you would like a ticket.
