Health Sovereignty Celebration | Coping with Grief During Winter

  • Tahoma Indian Center 621 Tacoma Ave. S. Tacoma, WA 98402 United States (map)

Winter is a time when nature slows down, urging us to turn inward and nurture ourselves.

For those coping with grief, however, it can intensify feelings of loneliness and sadness.

Grief is not linear, and there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach to navigating it. By tuning into your own needs—whether that’s seeking comfort in warm, nourishing foods, herbal teas, daily movement, or simply allowing yourself to rest—you take an empowered stance in your healing journey.

Join us in making space for this emotion, while in community.

We'll lean into carving as medicine, practice traditional healing care and utilize grief support as needed.

Dinner will be provided.

📅 Date: Tuesday, December 9th

🕖 Time: 5-7pm

🏢 Location: 621 Tacoma Ave. S., Tacoma, WA 98402
